although, I have had my iphone since 2016 and haven't had any issues. In fairness though, I am just an N = 1.

Same here, I'd rather a phone that works so well it doesn't need a dedicated support agent app...

So your sample set means iPhone's don't have issues ?

I think everyone has been very upfront that they're discussing their personal experiences here.

Honestly they’re a pretty stable product (minus, of course, the infamous planned obsolescence via battery incident). My iPhones have worked as intended since my first (4s).

I've been using iPhones since the 3GS, then 4S the SE, and now an iPhone 7.

Every single one of them, out of the box, has had terrible battery life.

The iPhone 7 has a 1960mAh, that's just insufficient. Full. Stop. No matter how you slice it, a 2000mAh batter is never going to get you through a day on an iPhone if you actually use it.

I've recently seen Android 10 phones available with 10,000mAh batteries. That sounds like it might at least get me through till lunch time.

Except battery life is energy/consumption. Androids have huge battery but a crappy power hungry CPU.

It’s sad to be reminded of that.

For a moment there I had genuine hope.

Good news is iPhone 11, XR, and {XS, 11Pro} Max have great battery lives (XS not so much and I'd be vary of 11 Pro but don't know personally)
