Google is down right hostile to their users. So glad, I haven't used any of their services in years besides maybe YouTube occasionally.


And the least hostile way to use YouTube, I find, is to plug the URL into the excellent youtube-dl CLI tool, and then watch the video locally.


Honestly didn't realize how bad it's gotten until I tried to watch a video in a browser without uBlock recently...

Thus the reason why I never, ever brows the web on my phone. Unless it's necessary. Even the Youtube ads are annoying.


Let's just hope they don't remove the RSS feed for YouTube.


Right click and open in vlc/iina is my preferred way


And I am downright hostile to them as a vendor. Just say no to GCP. Whatever feature you want to use, they will probably cancel it with 30 days notice anyway…
