People who believe such a change will happen, are in the position to lead the conversation in my opinion. This is not the first impactful change in history. It's not even clear if it's the biggest one and as any other change, people who have a rational understanding of it are in a better position to propose solutions to the problems it brings.
There is another problem though, which is very important to note. As much as this change is impactful, there are so much nonsense and bulsh*t going around it because some people are financially invested. Sometimes people make statements without revealing their true intentions. I imagine, that a person who is right now, integrating ChatGPT into something and dreaming about getting rich fast, is not gonna believe into whatever cautionary tail others tell. This specific aspect of the current hype, unlike the actual product, is dramatically similar to the crypto hype. It doesn't help either.
