I was driving home late one night and this extraordinary, experimental jazz piece comes on the air (KUVO, Denver). I was captivated and my daughter who was with me correctly identified the instrument as the bass clarinet which she had played in her middle school orchestra. That is awesome she plays bass clarinet. Dolphy practically owns that instrument.
