Had not seen or forgotten Gosu. Thanks. Not that I'm likely to use it, Kotlin will be my first choice when I get back to my Android app.

Doesn't Kotlin target jvm 1.6?

Honestly, I don't know. No one seems to have mentioned anything like that as an obstacle to kotlin on android, but I haven't done a ton of research.
